Who we are

Pharmaceutical Press is the publishing division of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society.

The publishing function has been at the heart of the Society since its inception in 1841, providing the professional information needed by pharmacists in their daily work and helping them to develop their careers. Our unique position allows us to draw on the Society's knowledge, research and influence to guide and inform the direction of our publishing programme.

Today, Pharmaceutical Press has more than 150 titles in its international catalogue of print and digital works.

Pharmaceutical Press produces the most comprehensive and trustworthy range of independent pharmaceutical information in the world. The principal publishing focus is on the design, manufacture and therapeutic use of medicines, as well as the professional concerns of those working to ensure their safe administration and use.

Martindale: The Complete Drug Reference; Stockley's Drug Interactions and the Handbook of Pharmaceutical Excipients are amongst some of our internationally recognised publications. We have expanded our portfolio of reference works recently and now also publish Remington: The Science and Practice of Pharmacy, in collaboration with Philadelphia College of Pharmacy at University of the Sciences.

The Pharmaceutical Journal (PJ), is the official weekly journal of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society. As well as providing comprehensive news coverage of all aspects of pharmacy in Britain and developments in other parts of the world of relevance, The PJ publishes technical articles and reviews on medicines and medicines use. Also included are letters, book reviews and reports of international conferences, and it publishes a highly regarded continuing professional development section.

Clinical Pharmacist is the leading clinical pharmacy publication in Great Britain and is published 11 times per year. Concentrating on issues of direct relevance to hospital pharmacists, primary care pharmacists and leading edge community practitioners, the publication enables readers to keep abreast of current advances in their fields and assists them in expanding their professional skills and knowledge.
