"We are extremely pleased to announce that we have completed a comprehensive development project that will deliver an improved experience and easier access to our essential drug interactions information.

At the heart of this change is our drive to deliver easier access to evidence-based information in order to support health professionals deliver the best patient care possible. This latest development focusing on BNF & BNFC interactions provides increased coverage and a new grading system that will allow users to make more informed clinical decisions."
People Developments driven by you
The improvements we are making have been drawn from listening directly to you, the users, and understanding what you need to support clinical decisions based on BNF and BNFC interactions information.
Clinical Evidence Faster, easier access to consistent drug interactions
The new BNF & BNFC interactions content will give you the ability to find the drug information you need quickly and efficiently, through:

•  A greater focus on the clinical relevance of the interactions
•  A consistent style and terminology
•  A new grading system for both severity of the interaction and the evidence to support it.
People Quicker reference with tables in print
We know that our users find tables for quick reference very helpful.
BNF 74 and BNF for Children 2017-18 will therefore contain new tables, bringing together lists of drugs that have pharmacodynamic effects, such as those that prolong the QT interval, or those with antimuscarinic effects.

In the forthcoming months the new interactions content will be released into all of the BNF products, saving you time whenever you need to make a clinical decision.

We look forward to bringing you more information about our exciting product developments over the next few weeks, ahead of launch later this year.
