Welcome to the October BNF eNewsletter.
Six new drug monographs have been added in the last month, including - brodalumab, eliglustat tartrate and follitropin delta. Dose change in BNFC for ferrous sulfate [Ironorm®]: clarification of maximum daily dose for iron-deficiency anaemia [therapeutic] in children aged 1 month to 5 years and 6 to 11 years.

This issue includes MHRA advice on adrenaline/epinephrine auto-injectors: updated advice after European review, and ibrutinib [Imbruvica®]: reports of ventricular tachyarrhythmia; risk of hepatitis B reactivation and of opportunistic infections. You will also find a link to resources for healthcare professionals around opioid prescribing produced by the Faculty of Pain Medicine and NICE technology appraisals for adalimumab, carfilzomib, nivolumab, and roflumilast.
