BNF for Children
PDA version
Published jointly by the British Medical Association, Royal Pharmaceutical Society, the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health and the Neonatal and Paediatric Pharmacists Group
BNF for Children PDA Edition
The full content of the British National Formulary for Children is available for use on a personal digital assistant (PDA). This maintains the familiar chapter format and includes all appendices.
The British National Formulary for Children is a joint publication of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH), the Neonatal and Paediatric Pharmacists Group (NPPG), the British Medical Association (BMA) and the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS). BNF for children will be under continuous revision and a new edition will be produced each year.
The aim of BNF for children is to provide a practical, relevant and authoritative information source for all health professionals involved in the drug therapy of children, building on the strengths and success of "Medicines for Children" (RCPCH Publications Ltd) using the editorial expertise of the BNF. BNF for Children will provide information on the use of drugs in neonates, infants, children and adolescents up to 18 years of age.
The often limited clinical trial data available for children makes the role of the BNF for children advisors network vital in enabling statements of best practice to be made even when the evidence remains imperfect. The BNF for children aims to consult with as wide a range of health professionals as possible in order to achieve this.
BNF PDA editions are now available via our partner organisation, MedHand.
